Archive for November, 2013

Here are a few Notes, News, and Views to Help Equip You this weekend. Enjoy.

FREEBIES: Worship leader and songwriter, Stephen Miller, is FREELY giving all 5 of his albums away as downloads. Why? He says because it’s “November and that means that Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner, so we are feeling extra thankful, generous and joyful.”

J.C. Ryle’s “Thoughts for Young Men” is available through three different formats here.

The Philippines was devastated this week from Typhoon Haiyan. While we pray for the people there we may have a tendecay to want to go help with disaster relief efforts. Ed Stetzer gives us 3 ways we can help (by not going there). He list some giving routes to consider and giving to Christian organizations that have “boots on the ground” like World Vision or World Relief is usually the wisest course of action.

Spartanburg friends, take note that the Compassion Experience  is being hosted by Milestones Church on November 15-18  you can still reserve a spot (it’s free!). This is a brand-new and immersive experience from Compassion International that takes less than 30 minutes. The sights and sounds of life in a poor, developing-world community will come alive as you journey with a child through the challenges of daily life.
