As news broke the middle of this week that a well known Southern Baptist leader’s 15-year old son had committed suicide what followed were pleas of prayers for this family from across the web-o-sphere. While we should continue to pray  for this family I would encourage you to read Dave Miller’s insightful reflection on the topic of suicide and how we respond in the church.

Over and over God’s Word tells us to wait, but for most of us it is the most difficult thing to do. My friend Jeff Robinson has just went through a session of being in God’s school of waiting and writes about some good things God accomplishes through it. Don’t wait, go read it here!

While we may hear a lot of the political grandstanding going on in Washington about the crisis at the border, are we thinking Christianly about it? Spartanburg’s own Matthew Blanton has a must read in Christianity Today with three responses that Christians must avoid when thinking about the unaccompanied children at the border crisis.

Trevin Wax has written a helpful piece warning us in the “Gospel-Centered” crowd of the dangers of laying a good gospel foundation but not building anything on it.
